Championship Viewers
Firstly, I had so much fun watching all of the games this year! I'd have to say my favorite one by far though was the UCONN vs NC State. Kate and I were screaming at our tv which is funny considering we weren't even cheering for a certain team. It got me so excited for next season and it was crazy the number of people in the community who came up to me to talk about tournament games going on. Women's basketball is on the rise!! Viewership for this tournament game was up 19% which is especially crazy when you realize that the game was aired at the same time as the Grammys. Why would two events that require extreme planning way ahead of time be aired at the exact same time? Beats me. Despite that this game had more viewership than a majority of the college football bowl games showing that people do care and the stage that we are placing for women's basketball is worth it.
